Sanderson Gulch Dog Park & Playground

Project Overview

ICON assisted in the concept design, community engagement and construction documents for this dog park and playground in the historic Ruby Hill Neighborhood of Denver. The project involved creating a new dog park (Ruby Hill Dog Park), replacing the existing, deteriorated children’s playground, upgrading the picnic area, and enhancing the landscaping and irrigation for the connected walks and trails. ICON collaborated with DHM and DPR on the park vision plan and to provide stormwater drainage and water quality design, Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) documents, and permit preparation for Sewer Use Drainage Permit/Floodplain Permit (SUDP) and Construction Activities Stormwater Discharge Permit (CASDP).
