Project Deliverables

This project will be completed in three distinct phases, each of which involves the presentation of a draft report, followed by a review conducted by the project sponsors, culminating in the publishing of a final report. Additionally, each phase has unique work products that are also presented as “stand alone” documents that will be available for review. Input from the public is solicited at all steps of the process.

Flood Hazard Area Delineation Report

The Flood Hazard Area Delineation Report (FHAD) delineates the 100-year flood area. This report is being prepared for the potion of Clear Creek in Jefferson County extending from upstream of US Highway 6 above the City of Golden downstream to Sheridan Boulevard. This report will depict existing flooding problems along the creek without future improvements.

Major Drainageway Phase A Master Plan

Alternative evaluation phase of the project serves to quantify the hydrology associated with different return frequency runoff events. In addition, alternative improvement scenarios are investigated to assure that the most appropriate design recommendations are made. Deliverables resulting from this phase includes the Baseline Hydrology Report, Benefit Cost Analysis Report, Draft Phase A Master Plan and Final Phase A Master Plan.

Major Drainageway Phase B Preliminary Design Master Plan

Once the Project Sponsors have selected the most desirable alternative from the Phase A report, the Phase B report then progresses by advancing the alternative from a schematic level to a Preliminary Design. The purpose of the preliminary design is to allow better definition critical design elements, and to refine future expected construction costs.
